Hi, I have been reading alot of your post and decided I would like to become a member of GardenWeb. I have enjoyed reading alot of the gardening forums and also the Get Together forum and Kitchen Table Forum. You all are a fun loving group and I'd like to be a part of you all. I am from Georgia, and have lived in South Carolina, growing up and then moved to Georgia after I married. I sure did enjoy the post about being Southern. I laughed so much my cheeks hurt. But it is sooo true. That's how we talk. My husband is from Michigan and his family enjoys hearing me talk. I haven't figured out if they really like it, or they just think it is strange talking. lol Well, it's high time I be git in da bed. So long fur now. ;-)

welcome redclaygirl. I love the way southerners talk...my problem is that whereever I am, I pick up the accent. I'm originally from WVa and was reared in OH. After marriage, went to WA state then to ND & Mont...funny thing was they loved my accent...just can't tell where it's from. I really enjoy reading here too. Everyone sounds sooooo nice.

I don't post here to often, but I will say welcome anyway. don't worry about your accent/drawl, I had a sister in law from Georgia and I loved to hear her talk. On my first international flight which was my first flight anywhere, the first thing I noticed were people standing up walking around and visiting with each other. Most were speaking English, but with lovely accents. I loved it, and I think it makes a person unique when you are out of your home territory.

Welcome Redclaygirl. You mean to tell me your husband is from Dee Troit? lol

I was born here in Alabama but raised in Michigan. Now I am back home and absolutely love it.

I loved the thread about being southern too.

....Jane
