If you have only one remote it makes it harder to diagnose but you can try programming it. First of all locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the opener near where all those white wires go. Then press and hold the large button on your remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. If it works now that is fine but if not it can be a bad remote or a bad receiver on the logic board and only a technician can help you at this time. That is if you only have one remote.
