Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener

My 1/2 HP garage door opener works OK opening but doesn't close properly. It starts closing then abruptly stops and reverses back open. I have diagnosed the problem to the sensors. One sensors LED is lit and flickering green and the other sensors LED isn't lit. I have tried to align the sensors to get the LED lit and even put them face to face almost touching. Still one sensors LED remains unlit. Do I have a wiring problem or a bad sensor?

With the one sensor flickering I would suspect the logic board.
