Garage door opens half way

Door closes fine. Opens half way & stops. Pressing button repeatedly to make it inch down, then inch back up again - eventually gets it open. Then I noticed that the door has some latitude to "slide" from side to side (about an inch each way) and when I physically "pull" the door sideways to center it, it opens without a problem. But it consistently & consistently "drifts" to the one side - and then I have the problem again. Any ideas ?? Is there some adjustment that keeps the door "centered" ??
Sears wormdrive opener (two years old), new track wheels as of last year.

This may not help, but I have noticed that about once a year I need to get out the WD40 and give my unit's screw drive a good dose of WD40 as it stops opening all the way no matter how many times I press the button. Sometimes I also give the rollers and their track a dose, too. I squirt it, then run it and squirt it all. Be sure to do it when the cars are not in the garage, as it can make a mess on them!

Good luck to you,
Schutzhund
