Garage opener remote intermittent

Hi, a week ago, my garage remote suddenly stopped working. I replaced battery and still nothing. My son's remote still works fine. After a couple of days, the remote suddenly worked again, then quit same day. Overhead Door installed the garage doors and openers I want to say 2 years ago, so I'm sure it's out of warranty, but it seems like too soon for the remote to go bad. Anyway, time for a new remote or something else? Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!

Time for a new remote. Make sure you get the same model number. There are many out there that look the same but will not work.
