Garage door threshold - rubber or aluminum?

I want to add a threshold to my garage doors since the slab slopes a little in front toward the doors and I'm getting water inside when it rains. I can find glue-down rubber thresholds like Storm Shield, but I like the idea of something a little more durable and permanent like aluminum. Besides price and ease of installation, is there a good reason to use rubber thresholds instead of aluminum?

One problem with using aluminum is that it will flatten as you drive over it.
In the past, I have added an extra piece of wood filler between the door bottom and the rubber seal. This worked fine to seal out the elements.
