| 15 y/o opener.
Last week it started to not open fully. Just goes 3/4 of the way. Closes just fine. I have adjusted the (up) travel. No differance. After it stops at the 3/4 mark, I can push the button to make it go down and then quickly push the button again and it opens the rest of the way. Any ideas before I tear it apart? Thank you. |

| Try releasing the door and opening manually to see if it is hitting a rough spot or something. If not, on the rear of the motor unit you will find the up force adjustment. Increase this a bit and try. You might want to take a look at the drive gear just in case. It is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. |

| I have adjusted the travel and the force. The door is not binding AND I have insured proper lubrication. Just trying to figure out why the motor stops in that position. |
