Craftsman 1/2 HP Garage Opener will not fully open

15 y/o opener.

Last week it started to not open fully. Just goes 3/4 of the way. Closes just fine.

I have adjusted the (up) travel. No differance.

After it stops at the 3/4 mark, I can push the button to make it go down and then quickly push the button again and it opens the rest of the way.

Any ideas before I tear it apart?
