Craftsman 1/2HP Garage Door Opener

Help me if you can,

I just installed a hand used garage door opener (Craftsman 1/2 HP with Red SRT Button)from my father. I know the remotes used to work when I took the opener down. Now i've reinstalled the opener at my house and the opener works fine using the wall mounted control (not a craftsman) from my original opener I had.

However, I can not get the remotes to reprogram. I've bought new batteries and tried them in both remotes. The RED SRT Button does not blink as it supposed to. When I press it, it will stay on for about 10 seconds then shut off.

Replacement remotes are about 40 bucks and I do not want to buy one if it still will not work and it is the main unit that is faulty. If anybody has any answers I would appreciate it.

This is the symptom of a bad logic board.

I feel I can now justify buying new opener.
