Avoid Wayne Dalton

I would avoid Wayne Dalton. We have had both mechanical and programming problems. The disengagement cable snapped while trying to disengage the opener for reprogramming which is often required due to frequent failures. Simply touching the wrong button accidentally on the wall station can result in programming malfunction. It is difficult to reprogram; the units quickly go into "thermal overload" or on "vacation" (terms from the instruction manual). We have found it hard to reach call center support. You can be on hold for more than 10 minutes and when reached the support staff can be very impatient.

Wow, sounds like you installed them yourself.

We paid to have them installed (wasn't cheap). 2 9' doors with I-drive. 2 years now - no problems at all.
