| Please help. When I press the remote or the inside button my garage door lifts about 2.5 feet then stops and the motor clicks and the light blinks. It will go down but not up past that 2.5 area.
Any idea what may be wrong? Thanks for your help. |

| Check to make sure your door springs are not broken. Usually there are 2 and 1 breaks. If so, have them both replaced. The other thing to check is the drive gear. You'll have to remove the cover. It is a white nylon gear just above and in front of the motor. You will usually find a white sawdust when this gear goes bad. Either one can cause your problem. |
