| I have a Liftmaster 1/2 horse Garage Door Opener. A couple months ago I saw that the worm and drive gear were shredded. I was able to replace the gears. After reconnecting everything the limit switch will try and travel past the contacts in just the up direction (down works fine). I have checked that the brown, yellow and grey wires on the limit switch are secured and in the right locations.
Any more ideas on what I can check? Is it possible my gears shredded because of a bad limit switch or logic board? Is there a way to use the down wire for up also or any other way to get up switch to work correctly? Thanks,

| This is generally caused by a bad logic board. |
