garage door opener sensors causing problems

I have a craftsman garage door opener which works fine except for the sensors. I had to wiggle the sensor connection for months to get the green light on the sensor to show, which allowed the garage door opener to work. I see now that the connection is broken (the wire has come out of the connection clip that plugs into the sensor). I'm just wondering if it's possible to use the door without sensors because we don't have any pets or small children to worry about.

Any help is much appreciated.

There is no way to bypass or eliminate the sensors. The new sensors have eliminated these small connectors so that problem is eliminated. I'm afraid your are stuck with buying new sensors.
