I have an old craftsman garage door opener. It works fine but the light does not go on any more. And yes I try a couple of new light bulbs.

What is the model number of your opener. It is important. It starts with 139.

I too am having trouble with my light not working. My opener is only 5 years old and worked fine until recently. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Model 13918453.

Pull the bulbs out and unplug the opener.. Pry the copper connector out a little bit so it makes a better connection with the bulb. Also use bulbs without the philament(filament??)Garage door openers vibrate, especially the chain drives....
