Genie opener will not stop

I have a Genie Screw drive opener that drives past the limit switches (both up and down) and will not stop. Even the force setting does not seem to work since the door basically buckled from the force. The obstacle sensor does work and reverses the door if blocked.

I tried unplugging the opener for a minute to possibly "reset" something internal, but to no avail.

Any ideas or is there something "fried" that can not be repaired?

Make sure you don't have a broken wire going to the limit switches. I would also pull the boards and check for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuits.
