Craftsman 1/2 h.p. Garage Door Opener

The unit is 5 yrs. old and has worked fine. It still works fine with the exception of the light. It quit coming on upon opening and closing. Tried 2 new bulbs, no luck. The light will not come on even when you trip the sensors. I also noticed the small red or yellow light on the back of the actual motor unit is no longer on. This used to be on 7/24. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm not sure this is the answer to your problem but try holding the light button in for 10 seconds on the wall control. This will normally toggle the feature where the light comes on when you interrupt the sensors.
