Garage Door Opener Recommendation

I am replacing a Python II door opener, and I am looking for recommendations. The door is a 20' X 8' insulated Overhead door, and seems to be well balanced. But, I have always had trouble completely closing this door when the weather is cold. Given that the Python has a 1/2hp motor, I'm thinking I need to upgrade to 3/4hp or 1hp.

Any recommendations?

My guess is that the springs get stiffer with the cold and the door is less well balanced under those conditions. A higher power unit might help. I have no experience with that opener nor that size door.
I do have a shop door 20 x 14 uninsulated and a 1/2 hp commercial door operator handles it fine. Operator made by a now-defunct company.
