I have a used murrey lawn tractor model
# 40702x92f
serial 95700

with a Briggs 12.5 motor

It being an older mower I have had little problem since purchase 3 wks ago. This morning after heavy rain I attempted to start mower and was unable to. After hooking up charger & removing air filter and seeing much moister, either water or gas, I was able to turn engine. Filter was badly clogged and was replaced with new. Engine started and ran and blades engaged for cutting. Ran approx 2 minutes and threw deck belt. After attempting to place proper belt placement cannot get even a click when key is
turned. Fear either starter burned or soelinoid. Any ideas? I badly need a murrey belt diagram for model 40702x92f. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanx

RE: Jeez !

an incorrectly routed belt has nothign to do with not evne getting a click when you turn the key. sounds like you maybe knocked loose one of the safety switches(if that model has any). or possibly you have a bad battery and it died.
