Programming keyless entry keypad for Craftman Garage Door Opener.

I have Craftman Garage Door Opener model 139.53914D. The battery on keyless entry pad died. I replace the 9V battery and programme the entry code and worked fine for a week and keyless entry pad stopped working.(Garage door will still open and close with wall Premium control console). I replace the battery again. Inpite of repeated tries now I am not able to programme code on keyless entry pad and not able to use keyless entry pad. Two motion sensor lights at the bottom of the door are in alignment and both lights are on.

Can anyone help me, how do I programme keyless entry pad?

Thanks,

Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.

If this doesn't work your keypad has failed.
