| I hope I'm in the right forum...I have a question about painting some wood paneled garage doors that were just installed yesterday.
The doors were pre-primed, but I put on an oil-based primer for good measure (I live in New England, so the elements tend to take their toll quickly on wood). In doing so, I noticed that the panels in the door move around a bit (1/8 inch or so). My inclination was to caulk each panel joint, but then I thought about it...are those panels supposed to move around to expand and contract during the change of seasons? So before I put on the finish paint, should I caulk panels? Thanks in advance! |
