Another craftsman garage door opener question

I have a 139.53962srt craftsman agarage door opener. The opener works fine.

Here is my issue. I just bought a remote keypad opener from Sears so my kids can get into the garage. I have gotten the keypad and fixed button in the garage to work. However now the remote for the door does not work.

My question is - Can I use remote keypad and normal remotes together. I get them to work seperatly but not funtion together. So for now I use the remote keypad and fixed button in the garage.

Is this normal?

It sure sounds like you were sold the wrong keypad. Take your model number with you and have them look up the correct one.
