garage opener

I have a craftsman 1/2hp opener(10-20yrs old) and a chambelain key pad. The key pad is not working since yesterday. I checked the opener for the learner(reset) button but it doesn't have one. It only has 0-10 little switchs. How do I reprogram the keypad??

Try this: First unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next enter your desired four digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

I took the console(door opener switch that the keypad plugs into) off and there is no reset inside. The button is a chamberlain as well as the key pad.

Found the switch and put it on program. Unpluged the opener and set my 4 digit pin. put the switch back on and pluged in the opener but still no luck. The Key Pad was blinking when I entered the PIN and stopped blinking when I switched it back on. Any thoughts???

I think your keypad has bit the dust. You will find it is "no longer available" due to the age. It's time to update your opener.
