sears garage opener has been acting up. I can get into it by using the side code pad, not with the remote openers. When I hit the reset button, the openers work for only a few days. Then once again I hit button and the remotes work again for a few days and so on. Any help or ideas

RE: Sears Help

Sounds like you are having a problem with your wall control. Not the keypad. If it has 3 buttons, press and hold the one with a padlock icon for 3 seconds. If this doesn't cure your problem disconnect the wall control by removing the two wires from it at terminals 1 and 2 on the back of the motor unit. Try this for a few days. May be a shorted wall control.

RE: Sears Help

Just checked the wall control and it is flashing all the time. I held the wall control lock button for three sec but I'm not sure if it did anything. The lock button felt very firm/stiff. I did diconnect the wires from terminal one and it seems to be working for today. Any Ideas about the flashing wall control? Are new wall controls spendy? Are they difficut to replace?

RE: Sears Help

If your wall control has only one button you can use any door bell button.
