adding a garage remote

since I'm a senior, I would like my daughter to have a garage door opener for emergency. I purchased a CLICKER that has dip switches and brand switches, my present garage door opener is a Sears Craftsman K1026 05/94 139.53779 HBW0709. It has no switches what so ever not on the motor, remote, nor on the wall mount.
the instructions are vague and make no sense, needless to say although it sais universal and Sears craftsman is included on the list of brands that the CLICKER would operate. it does not work. can you please help me????

Look at the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go and post the color of the smart/learn button. Can't help you without it. Don

Thanks Don
The antenna is on the Little black box mounted on the wall, I took the cover off the black box to expose the LED green light which memorizes the code, when I press the chosen button on the new remote the LED blinks which means the new remote memorized the code, but nothing happens. very frustrating.

At this point you need more help than I can offer long range. I'm sorry.

if you have a purple learn button the remote you have won't work with it

Did you ever find a remote that works with your Sears unit. I have the same one.

Thanks
