Garage Quarters

Have just started thinking about tearing down freestanding garage. And building 3 car with quarters. Don't know where to start. Does anyone know of a website with plans or have any thoughts on how to begin? We will be hiring a builder but want to know what I'm talking about before hand. Thanks so much.

Wow... a 3 car with living quarters will be really nice!

I have no experience building a garage myself, but after looking around online, I'd say coolhouseplans.com is a good place to start. They have many different garage apartment plans. If you click on the details of a plan you like, it also shows you the specs which will be helpful when you contact a builder. Another site worth trying is garageplans.hsh.com. They also have some nice 3 car w/apartment plans.

Thanks so much...we have 3 dogs so not looking forward to this. Been putting it off for 10 years. will post if it becomes a reality!!! ugh
