I have a craftman opener Md 139.53975srt1,the two remote's will not work or the programed remote in the car. The key pad and the hard wired door switch works fine. I thought at first it was a battery in one remote, then found the other problems.I've replaced batteries and tired both ways of reprograming as per manual with no sucess. I don't think its the lockout switch . The remotes are md 139.53681b. Any Help ???? Thanks

Is the light in the wall control blinking?

No blinking lights ?

The symptoms suggest the lock function is on. When that is on though the light in the wall control blinks. You refer to it as the "hard wired wall switch." Check it.

I've checked it 3 times and really wish that was it ,but its not..

Try disconnecting the wall control from the opener and then try the remotes. You can do this by removing the wire from terminal #1 on the rear of the motor unit. It is the white wire with a red stripe.

Tired removing #1 wire. nothing. I removed the wall switch altogeteher , nothing. I cleared all the remotes by holding in the smart button. The only one I could reprogram was the outdoor key pad. The two hand held remotes will do nothing. The lockout on the wall switch does work correctly as does the sensors.????

At this point I think you have a bad logic board. It is the end of the opener with the terminals and the smart/learn button. The part number is printed on it and starts with 41A. It is expensive.

How expensive is expensive ?? Is it worth it or should I just replace the damn thing >>>

Due to its age I would replace it.
