Hello... I am looking for pics of three and four car garages with room for an apartment above. If anyone would like to share pics of good looking garages, I'd love to see them.

Thanks!

RE: have pictures of garage carriage houses?

Hi,
Ive been looking for pics myself. There are a few sites that show plans. I googled garage with apartment and found about 5 different sites. I wish they showed more actual pics of the interior but mainly there are just plans or a pic of the outside structure. There are some cool looking ones out there though. Good luck and if you find any let me know. Im thinking of building one myself.

RE: have pictures of garage carriage houses?

I am looking at building just a single car carriage garage (to use primarily as an art studio, but on the foundation of an existing dilapidated detached garage). I saw some very cool kits to DIY this at Summerwood.com, but I don't know if they would look flimsy in real life, or how the cost compares to building a garage from scratch. If any of you check them out, will you tell me how the cost compares to the other options you're considering?

Thanks!

Melissa, there is a thread on the "building a home" forum where people discussed their costs for building detached garages. If the link doesn't work, it's on page two or three.

Terry

Here is a link that might be useful: reasonable price for a detached garage??
