Need Advice

I have 2 15 year old Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional Units with wood doors.

One unit, as far as I can tell, just failed. It goes an inch then makes a grinding noise. Externally, the chains and such look fine.

What should I do? Replace that one unit, or both, or get a repair estimate? Also, one just replaces the mechanized unit, not the chains/rail, or the whole thing. Also, I'm not handy, so I'll be having someone do it for me. Handyman or professional, and how much time will it take them?

You should replace both units, after 15 years they served their purpose. It should take about 45 minutes to about 1 hour for each replacement. Before you have any work done have the springs checked first for proper balance.
