What creative ways can you think of or have you done regarding the stoop ( steps or landing) inside the garage leading into the laundry room ? We now have one old wood stair barely big enough to step up into the house. The carpenters will enlarge to make a wooden stoop/landing big enough to take off shoes, etc. We live in the Midwest with winter snow, etc. and would like something that would be easy to wipe off and keep clean. But also has to look OK when you open the door, as the laundry room has marble tile floor. I was wondering if they make some kind of rubber flooring with grooves , kind of like a back door mat? What do you think would be a good floor covering on that wood stoop practically and aesthetically speaking ?
