Garage Door Closes Uneven

Posted by Banks22 (My Page) on

When I close the garage door, the right side does not close flush with the floor. The opener is not mounted in the middle, but about 1/3 of the way on the left side.

I can easily push the right side down and it is perfect. I didn't know if the adjustment screws would address this issue, so I figured I'd ask some experts.

Thoughts???

Adjustment screws will not address this. If your door has torsion springs the opener can be installed within 2 feet of the center of the door. If your door has extension springs the opener must be installed in the center of the door. You should correct the installation and then go from there.
