| I have a Craftsman 1/2 HP belt drive opener. Its about 7 yrs old. It will intermittantly close then reopen. It seems to travel too far causing it to open. When this happens the opener track bar will bow up considerably.
I have checked the door balance & the settings on the opener. Thanks |

| On the side of the motor unit you will find the 'down limit' control. Turn this a bit in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Some tweaking may be necessary to get it just right. |
