| I have a set of Genie Screw Drive Garage door openers in my garage. One of them does not start, it makes a small clicking noise. Only when I disengage and engage the drive once can I open the garage door. Closing the door is never a problem. I am not sure why this is. Any ideas/hints appreciated.

| There should be two small adjusting knobs on the opener that will increase or decrease the amount of opening / closing force the opener will exert. Try turning up the opening force knob a little until it will open. I would also apply some grease (check owners manual) to the screw as it may be getting dry...hence the opening issues. |
