| Having trouble please help. My garage door will go down fine. When I push the button for it to go up it makes a loud grinding noise like it wants to go up. ANy ideas would be appreciated. It is an older model. Thanks, |

| The carriage assembly is stripped. The carriage is that black think with the rope hanging from it. It has teeth that mesh with the screw drive and those teeth are stripped. You need to buy a new carriage and put it in. |
