| We are building a new home and currently we have a "2 and half" car garage...27' 5" wide by 23' 6" deep. We have two 9 foot wide garage doors and a 5 foot wide space on one end where we would store stuff. There is regular man door that opens into this space.
We were considering making this same space into a 3 car garage...one door 8 foot wide and the other 16 foor wide. We would still only use this garage for two cars...but we are considering the 3 car look because it will make it easier to take out the stuff we are storing in the garage (bikes, little kiddy cars) through a garage door rather than a man door and also it may help in resale. My wife and I can't agree. She wants the 3 car garage look. I think the space is not big enough and 8 foot door makes it harder to park and get out of the garage (we have a side garage). What do you think? |

| I like the 1 + 2, but I don't believe your 27'-5" is wide enough to meet code. |
