Try this. On the rear of your opener near where all those white wires go you will find a button. Press and immediately release it and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit 'secret code' and press enter. Should get you going Honey.

I see where the white wires go(under the screws) but there is no button. Any clue? I have the craftsman 1/2hp.

Maybe you have an older opener that has a row of very small switches just to the left of those white wires. Post your model number. It looks like this: 139.XXXXXX. Are you trying to program a wireless keypad and did it come with the opener or is it something you recently purchased?

It is about 7 years old. I am trying to replace the old key pad with a new one. I have 2 sets of #'s 13282052-1 (located up by the wires) and 132b2104-1 (located on a little box on the back also but on the left side. Thank you so much for your time.

Those aren't the numbers I was looking for but is the new keypad also a Craftsman? If the red button you first mentioned is on the rear of your opener that is the one you should be using.
