I am looking at a house in the Smithtown NY area and it has no garage. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure on what the cost might be to put up a 2-car garage (maybe 24x26)? Also if anyone has done something similar, what the increase was in their taxes? This would be a plain garage with electric. No bells or whistles. I've seen some pre-fabs, but they were in PA, which is about 100 or so miles from there so I think it may be a bit too far. Also, anyone in particular that you would recommend for the project? Thanks!
