| Hi there,
I have a 1/2 hp lift-master garage door that was put in with the house when it was built in 2005. The last few weeks I've noticed when I've gone to close the garage door using the wall panel button that it wouldn't always work. I thought it was the sensors, so I kept making sure they were meeting up and then suddenly the wall panel button would work. Now it's not working at all. But the remote does work. So, I know the problem has to be somewhere with the wall panel. So my first question is how do I get the darn thing off without busting it? And, then, once I do have it off, what do I check for? It just seems like it isn't receiving any power...the button light isn't on and if I push the light button it doesn't turn on the light. Thanks! |

| Sounds like a bad wall control. It is easy to eliminate this possibility by momentarily shorting the two wires together. There is more than one type of wall control. Without knowing the model it would be just a guess on how to remove it. |
