| I have a Sears 1/2 hp door opener. It opens inadvertantly day and night. I cannot rely on the security of it.
I tried deprogramming the remotes but this unpredictable opening still happens. Can other remotes or devices in the neighborhood do this.? Can I disconnect the remote entirely and just use the keypad? Please advise. Thanks. |

| You can't disconnect the remote receiver without also disconnecting the wall control. I would try disconnecting the wall control at the motor unit. The wires go to terminals 1 and 2. Sometimes the staples they use cut through the insulation and cause this problem. Try it that way and see if your problem stops. If it does it could be the wires or even the wall button itself. |
