1/2 HP Sears garage remote stopped working for one door?

Our remotes have the big button and two smaller buttons for 3 doors. We only use 2 buttons. Suddenly one garage door opener no longer opens with any of the programmed remotes.

I did not change the batteries as all the remotes still open the other garage door. I have done no maintenance, or bothered the openers. There is no new interference known. I have unplugged and reset the unit and I have also tried to reprogram.

The units are approx. 12 years old.

I read something on here about a "receiver" which I assume is in the opener unit. Is that something I can replace easily? BTW, the antenna seems fine as well.

Thanks for any ideas.

Sure sounds like the receiver has quit working. It is part of the logic board and is expensive but at 12 years old it may be best to replace the opener. If you do opt for a new opener be advised that the remotes will not operate your old opener.

I replaced a logic board on a 1/2 HP Craftsman opener a couple of years ago. I think I paid a little ove $60 dollars from an online source.
