Garage Door Remote Stopped Woorking

I read that another electrical appliance (any kind) can interfer with the remote control for your garage door opener. My remote when new would work 1/2 block away and then, all of a sudden, it would only work if I was standing directly in front of the door and click it about a dozen times! I had added a remote control around christmas time to turn on/off a lamp in the kitchen. I unpluged that control and now my garage remote is working perfect - hope this solution may give others an idea on how to solve their remote problems.

Multiple weak digital signals on the same frequency in close proximity to each other can result in none of them working.
