The Wayne Dalton I-drive is the most miserable piece of junk you will ever find. There were about 107 posts on the Home Repair forum by disgruntled owners but it has gone into the other world now. I wish it were still there for you to see.

Stay away from the I-drive. My dealer was begging us to sell them a while back. The only small unit that will work in residental application is a ZAP. Zap will meet code for residental use. www.zap-uk.com The are available here in U.S.A. (don't let the U.K. part of address scare you, they are made in the u.k. but are sold here. They are small enough to use in a home. The only other idea is to use a light duty commerical operator. You will need a Torsion spring assembly,(because you will need a shaft to mount this type of device). This type of operator is not usually used in a residental application. Dan
