| Like others in the forum I have temperature related problems but I have not yet seen a solution. I have two old 1/2HP garage door openers on a double garage. One works just fine. The other is temperature dependant. In cold (< 40F)weather it does not work at all. In warm weather (50-60F) it will open or close but then will not work until a period of time has elapsed (> 10 min). In warm weather (> 70) it works as it should. It does not "bounce". The remote works with the functioning garage door. Batteries are new and I have tried other settings but no luck. I am wondering if this is fixable by me, a service visit, or requires a replacement. Any ideas appreciated. Sincerely. |

| This sounds like a logic board problem. You might be able to switch the logic boards between the two units. If the problem follows the board you will know the answer. The board runs around $70.00. |
