I have this repair to the light socket on the craftsman GDO and while removing the wires from the socket from the front pannel I had one of the wires touch the frame, and I didn't have it unpluged and this triped the circut breaker. After I replaced the light socket and assembled the cover then reset the circut breaker now the GDO doesent work at all. Asking for ideas or solutions on this or could this have don it in for good. Never had a problem in 20 years except routine gear replacement.

You probably short circuited the logic board. The replacement logic board is 41A3066 You can likely get it from the Sears parts if it is available

You might pull the logic board and look for burnt or missing traces. Especially around the small transformer.
