Gas spill on driveway

heavy equipment parked in my driveway when I was having tree work done left some noticeable gas and/or oil stains on my 8-month old asphalt driveway. the driveway hasn't been sealed yet.

can these stains be removed? someone suggested speedy-dri. the driveway is on an incline.

Gas is a solvent for the asphalt and probably would have caused a noticable change in the surface texture and appearance.
Speedy dri will absorb the still-liquid oil. Kitty-litter will, also,
A concentrated solution of laundry detergent or dish soap, worked in with a stiff brush will get a lot of the oil stain and residue out. Rinse well and repeat as necessary.
