garage door opener problem

I have a 10 year old Lift Master with the safety beam system.
Both green lights on the sender and receiver ore lit but the safety beam does not work.
Door works otherwise.
Before replacing the sensors could the problem be the main PC board. Any suggestions?
Thanks

You are correct it could be a logic board problem. But what is it your sensors are doing or not doing?

Both green lights stay on even when the sensors are not lined up. The door still operates both up and down even when the beam is broken

Very unusual symptom. I would sure say a logic board and your safety feature is gone.

Any other way to check for logic board before I get new one.
Best place to get parts??

I don't know of a test other than replacement. Sears or any good door opener service company should have them. Some people deal with e-bay but I personally don't.

For everyons info the problem was the receiving sensor.
My neighbor had same system so I tried his and it was it.
Thanks for the help.

Hello

My concern is the garage door is binding when the door is being closed. It stop a few feet and goes back up. I've cleaned the eye sensors and still a problem. What next please.

If the door is binding you don't have a door opener problem. Release the door from the opener and find out what is binding.
