I'm trying to replace part 41A2817 in a Craftsman garage door opener and I can't get the old roll pins out so I can remove the gear. Any suggestions?

RE: Removing Roll Pins

A 1/16 inch punch or a nail with the point filed off will knock out the roll pin. The key is to knock out the roll pin before you remove any other part. Sometimes you will need something to turn the old gear so you can get a clear shot at the roll pin. Hope this helps you.
