| My daughter recently bought a house from a deceased owner. It has a Sears model 139.53415SR garage door opener (circa 1991) with a remote keypad mounted outside. The keypad uses a 9V battery.
How can I reset the keypad code without knowing the original code? Thanks, |

| I'm not sure if that model had dip switches or not. Can you tell? If it has dip switches, you would set the dips at the opener motor and the dips in the control outside to the same setting. |

| On the back of the motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find a button. Press and immediately release that button and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit PIN of your choice and press enter. This should get you goint. |

| I just bought a house with a 15-year-old garage door opener (139.53415SR). I was able to reset the keyless entry, but now cannot program my own code in. From reading other posts, I have gone up and pressed a yellow button on the back of the motor unit and then punched in a 4-digit code. This, however, has not worked. Any ideas? daveyj |
