I bought this house, which came with a garage door opener, a wall keypad, and no remotes. I looked online and saw that a Model 61LM remote control transmitter should work with my opener. I ordered a one-button one, but I can't get it to work. It's asking me to set 10 dip switches to match those on the opener, but I see no dip switches on the opener.

You should find the dip switches on the end of the motor unit near where all those white wires go.

Hmm, which white wires? I only see 2 wires leading out of the motor unit. I took the whole thing open yesterday and saw a circuit board and 12 multi-colored wires leading into it, but didn't notice any switches. Do I need to disassemble the unit again?

You can download the manual for free and you can see how to reset your remote

If you go to the link below it will have your owners manual. On page 13 is a rear view of the motor unit. Just to the left of the up and down force adjustments is the dip switches for the receiver. Match these up with the remote and you should be good to go if your receiver is working. You must have PDF to view the manual.
