Chamberlain Mfg Co makes Craftsman, Liftmaster and Chamberlain openers. They also make some that are branded for large customers. I personally prefer Chamberlain but there is so little difference between the three it is up for grabs. Sears is now also selling Genie so you could probably go there and compare them. The Chamberlain line of openers is DIY friendlier and is easier to repair. Hope this helps you.

I would go with the chain drive for the same reason. It is easier to repair.
