Instructions to Replace Drive Gear on Garage Door Opener

It is model 139.18847. The part is shown in the owner's manual as number 17 - shaft bearing kit. The shaft bearing kit has several pieces - bearng, washers and collar. The piece that broke is the bearing. It is (or would be if I could get it in place without breaking it) closest to the worm gear.

You may need to file any burrs on the motor shaft. Other than that the bearing should slide on and off with ease.

OK thanks. My neigbour gave me a spare bearing. I will make sure the shaft is smooth before putting the new bearing on. Much appreciated!
